Hi Libor, it's good to get such questions. The words 'on' and 'about' can both be used interchangeably. 'On' can also be used as 'on the subject of' and 'on the topic of', in spoken English.

Hi, I have a question about these examples

What’s your honest opinion about surfing?
Would you tell me your informed opinions on surfing?

in the first one, why you use 'about surging' and in the second one 'on surfing'? Why 'on' and 'about'? Is there is a rule that says when to use one instead of the other? Or I should to take it as a fact..that's how it is grammatically correct. Thanks
